Urbana football preview: Core of Hawks hope to finally make good on potential

URBANA — Two years ago, the core of the 2025 Urbana football team began to take shape.

The Hawks’ coaching staff pulled up six freshmen and a bevy of sophomores to take snaps at the varsity level, realizing they had a glut of untapped talent that could be quite a force in a few seasons.
