APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - On Wednesday night, Appleton’s city council reviewed a recommendation from the city’s Safety and Licensing Committee to revoke the liquor license of an area bar.

The original complaint, submitted by Meghan Cash, accused “Mr. Frogs” of maintaining an environment that allowed several incidents that required police responses to take place.

The complaint also stated the bar had accumulated enough demerit points through those incidents to require license revocation.

The Safety and Licensing Committee agreed, issuing that recommendation to the city council last week.

There was a surprising twist at the meeting, however.
