Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer couldn’t have asked for a worse start to the 2025 season.
The Crimson Tide, favored against Florida State and a popular pick for not only the College Football Playoff but also to contend for a national championship, went into Tallahassee and sputtered. Alabama got beat on both lines of scrimmage while playing timid and hesitant on defense, to quote defensive coordinator Kane Wommack .
Now, DeBoer, Wommack and the coaches must find a way to fix it and move forward. That starts with the next game.
