Former MSNBC host Joy Reid raised questions about the details surrounding an alleged assassination attempt on President Donald Trump during a Pennsylvania rally last year. In a recent appearance on Katie Phang’s YouTube channel, Reid stated that the public knows "nothing" about Trump’s injuries from the incident.

Reid criticized the media for its coverage of Trump’s health, claiming it has failed to ask important questions regarding the alleged shooting. She remarked, "He’s got these magical doctors who claimed that he was shot in the ear, but his ear, I guess, grew back. He had a Dukal bandage on one minute, no bandage the next. We can’t get a medical record from this alleged assassination. He was supposedly shot. We have nothing. We’ve got no — we can’t even ask."

Phang chimed in, questioning the lack of investigative records, saying, "One day, he slapped a Maxi Pad on his ear. The next day, the ear is totally fine."

Reid expressed frustration over the media's reluctance to demand Trump’s medical records, stating, "We’re getting nothing. And the mainstream media isn’t demanding his medical records. They’re not demanding anything. They’re terrified of this man."

She also noted that she was more informed about past assassination attempts against former presidents Gerald Ford and William McKinley than about the recent incident involving Trump. Reid suggested that the media's silence on the matter is unusual, recalling her own experiences in mainstream media where she faced backlash for questioning the lack of transparency regarding Trump’s health.

In her comments, Reid speculated about the nature of Trump’s injuries, suggesting he might have been hit by glass rather than a bullet. She posed several questions on social media, including the whereabouts of the three attendees who were shot and why Trump was allowed to pose for photos shortly after the incident. Reid asked, "How did the gunman manage to get on the roof of the building WHERE THE LOCAL POLICE WERE LITERALLY INSIDE?"

The White House has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding Reid's statements.
