LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - A Midlands woman is in custody after a reported Tuesday night shooting that turned deadly.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said 21-year-old McKenzie Brady was arrested and charged with murder in the death of 57-year-old Joel McCullough.

LCSD said deputies arrived at McCullough’s home in the 2700 block of Leaphart Road in West Columbia after receiving a 911 call about a gunshot wound. A witness reportedly told deputies that they had heard a gunshot following an argument.

The sheriff’s department said a search warrant was later obtained and a gun was found at the scene.
