PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Phoenix area is experiencing another round of monsoon activity on Wednesday.

A cloud of dust was kicked up east of Maricopa and moved into the Valley starting around 8 p.m. People from Gilbert to Laveen saw the dust move in and cause visibility to go down to 1 mile in some parts of the Phoenix area.

Some isolated flooding was seen on the U.S. 60 near McClintock Drive and in a neighborhood near the Loop 101 and Southern Avenue. A flash flood warning is in effect for parts of Tempe until 10:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of the East Valley, including Chandler, Mesa and Gilbert, that expired at 9:45 p.m.

People all over the Valley could see lightning and experienced the dust.
