Two men who allegedly created homemade "slam" guns on the NSW South Coast have been arrested after a five-month investigation.
Police launched Strike Force Alvie in April this year to investigate the production and supply of privately manufactured firearms made from adapted materials in the region.
During the investigation, all of the guns were recovered, including a triple-barreled weapon capable of firing a 12-gauge shotgun shell.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man in Albion Park and a 52-year-old man in Albion Park Rail yesterday.
The 31-year-old man was charged with 12 offences, including unlawfully sell firearms three times or more within 12 months, four counts of supplying a prohibited firearm to unauthorised person and four counts of manufacturing a prohibited firearm w
