TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A new update in the saga surrounding a 200-acre aluminum recycling plant in Benson, as a grassroots organization has filed a lawsuit against the city to stop the development.

Leaders with Health Over Wealth Benson announced it filed the lawsuit against the city in the Cochise County Superior Court on Friday, alleging the city broke state law when approving the permit for Aluminum Dynamics.

It’s a move they said was necessary as time ticks down towards final permit approval for the plant.
