Hopes that Prince Harry could be about to patch up his differences with his estranged father have been dealt a blow after it was revealed the pair can’t even agree on basics for a possible meeting.

“The whole thing is a mess”, a palace insider said of a potential peace summit.

Harry is due to fly into London for the WellChild Awards next week and had been tipped to take the opportunity to meet with King Charles for the first time since January 2024.

But it seems there are many more hurdles to overcome than first thought before that can become a reality.

Not only has Harry reportedly laid down a strict list of demands that must be met for any reconciliation to go ahead, there’s also “gridlock” over the most basic details of any meeting.
