The Frederick County Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to confirm Leshia Chandler of Frederick as the new director for the county’s Division of Family Services.

Chandler is taking over for Kelli Goetz, who retired on Friday, according to county spokesperson Vivian Laxton. Goetz had been the director of the Family Services Division since July 2023.
