The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a “shots-fired” incident that resulted in damage to a South Bend apartment complex.

It was just after 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Sep. 2, with South Bend Police were called to The Jefferson Apartments and discovered damage from apparent gunfire to a parked vehicle and an apartment building.

As officers were investigating, they heard more gunfire to the south of their location and found spent casings on arrival.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported at either location. There’s been no word of any suspects or arrests.
