Rhode Island is in the crosshairs of President Donald Trump’s administration again – this time for teaching “gender ideology” as part of a federally funded sex education curriculum.
On Aug. 26, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Administration for Children and Families, sent a letter to Rhode Island’s Department of Health demanding it scrub any references to what the administration calls “gender ideology” from its Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP).
