FAIRMONT — Marion County Schools celebrated an improvement in test scores over the previous year at Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting.
“If you look at North Central West Virginia, and you look at the other counties that are in these rankings, really it’s Mon and Marion in North Central West Virginia,” School Superintendent Donna Heston said. “These are districts around us that have more resources and funding than we do in Marion County, and certainly a testament to the hard work of our teachers and how we perform in North Central West Virginia. So I always like to look at this and see where our teachers and principals are driving us, because it looks very good for Marion and Mon.”
