NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - More than five years later, police say a man will face justice for arranging a killing while behind bars in a federal prison.

Darrell Kasey Williams, 33, of Lincolnville, is charged with accessory before the fact of a felony in the May 2020 murder of De’Andre Rivers.

North Charleston Police say Williams was an inmate at the Bennettsville Federal Correctional Institution at the time of the murder. Williams used a contraband cellphone to hire and pay someone to kill Rivers, according to investigators.

Police say the calls involved in the arrangement of the murder happened in April and May of that year.
