CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An area in southeast Clarksville could be getting a new park facility and it's all thanks to a potential land donation. Clarksville leaders are hoping once the donation is finalized, the community will receive a park it deserves.

According to Clarksville Now, around 16 acres of land could be donated to create a new park, which could possibly include a baseball field. John T. Rochford of Nashville has agreed to donate the land that sits off Tylertown Road. Ward 12 Councilmember, Keri Lovato, said this is something she's been asking the Parks and Recreation Department about for years. Right now, there is no park facility or much green space left in her area.
