A motorcyclist in Lancaster County died Tuesday night after being involved in a crash, according to police.

East Hempfield Township Police, around 9:20 p.m. Sept. 2, were sent to the 400 block of South Chiques Road, where they found the motorcyclist dead.

The motorcyclist’s name, age and address have not been made public as of Wednesday. Police said there was no evidence that he was wearing a helmet.

A preliminary investigation determined the motorcyclist was riding east on South Chiques Road when he lost control as the road curved.

The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office also responded to the scene.
