LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Parks is planning the future of Jefferson Memorial Forest and said it wants the community's input.

Metro Parks has launched a new online portal , shaping a master plan for Jefferson Memorial Forest.

“The primary activity is the trails here, so we want input on what kind of trails," said Jessica Kane, Metro Parks administrator. "Do we want equestrian? Do we want mountain bike? Do we want more hiking? Just kind of figuring out what that looks like."

Jefferson Memorial Forest, located in southern Jefferson County, is nearly 7,000 acres large. It offers an array of park settings, hiking trails, cabins, overlooks and family camping areas.
