We are dry and cool to start off this Thursday. Southwest winds will pick up through the day leading to a noticeable breeze for the afternoon and evening.

Clear skies and the breeze will help temperatures climb back into the mid and low 70s. The wind will also bring back ingredients needed for storms ahead of another cold front that will pass overnight. The front should be strong enough to trigger these nighttime storms. They will start in northwestern Iowa late evening and will move into central Iowa around 10pm to 12am. They will continue to push south and east late into the night and wrap up by the time we get our Friday started.
