The final tuneup for Florida football before the grind of SEC play could wind up being just the test UF needs to ramp up its urgency.

The No. 15 Florida Gators (1-0) will face an ascending in-state program when they host USF at The Swamp on Sept. 6 (4:15 p.m., SEC Network). The Bulls (1-0), under third-year coach Alex Golesh, are coming off an impressive 34-7 win over No. 25 Boise State on Aug. 29 to open the regular season.
