NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) — The highly controversial plans for a new turnpike on the metro's south side are moving forward.

The OTA now says we will see the new route they have come up with on September 23rd.

For the hundreds who potentially live in the path, they say this will do nothing to stop their fight to keep their homes.

The OTA says they are doing everything they can to accommodate those who will be affected by the south extension between Norman and Lake Thunderbird.

Opponents say they are still upset that the State Supreme Court allowed the OTA to continue with the project.

They plan to present a new case to them again, to try and stop construction from happening.
