MIAMI, Florida — Pop music superstar Lady Gaga postponed her Wednesday concert in Miami just hours before it was to begin, citing problems with her voice.

Gaga wrote on social media that she was advised by a doctor and a vocal coach that she was risking serious damage to her vocal cords if she tried to perform Wednesday night.

“Hi everyone I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami,” Gaga wrote on social media . “During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained and both my [doctor] and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses.
