The New Orleans Saints will open their 2025 season at home in the Caesars Superdome against the Arizona Cardinals.

These two teams first played one another way back on December 3, 1967, which saw the then St. Louis Cardinals defeat the Saints 31-20 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO. Sunday will be the 31st time that these two franchises have faced one another in the regular season, with Arizona winning the series 16-15. Their only post season matchup took place on January 10, 2010, which saw the Saints defeat the Cardinals 45-14 in the divisional round of the playoffs.

These two last played one another at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ on October 20, 2022, which saw the Cardinals defeat the Saints 42-34.
