After a standout training camp, free-agent forward Quinn McKenzie has officially signed a scholarship and development agreement with the Soo Greyhounds, the team announced Wednesday.

McKenzie, a native of Cranberry Township, Pa., spent last season with Shattuck St. Mary’s 18U Prep program, where he racked up 26 goals and 67 assists for 93 points in 58 regular-season games. He added 12 more points in six games during the team’s run to a U.S. national championship.

He was one of three goalies, nine defencemen, and 16 forwards named to the Greyhounds’ pre-season roster. He centred the team’s first line in their first exhibition game against the Sudbury Wolves on Sunday, recording two shots and going 11-for-16 in the face-off dot.
