HAMMOND — 2025 could be a special season for Purdue Northwest volleyball.

At least that's what head coach Sean Douglas thinks.

After a strong 2023 campaign that saw the Pride win a program-record 13 games, things slipped slightly in 2024 amid high expectations. Douglas and Co. are confident that won't happen again this fall.

"This will be the best team we put on the court in my four years at PNW," Douglas said.

That confidence is well-founded. The Pride graduated only two players from last season's squad and added more than enough talent to supplant those losses.

Last season, Purdue Northwest leaned heavily on three-time All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection Arra Cottrell and Anika Huelskamp to provide offense. The pair combined for 657 points and
