Connecticut native Tyler Booker will make his NFL regular season debut with the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night as football season begins.

Booker grew up in New Haven and went to St. Luke's in Canaan before transferring to IMG Academy.

He played college football at Alabama and was an All-American. In April, the Cowboys selected him in the first round of the NFL Draft.

The Cowboys are taking on the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night and Booker will facing the Eagles’ Jalen Carter.

In an interview posted on Dallascowboys.com , Booker said he is excited to play and the key to success will be consistency.
