No matter where you go this weekend, you're likely to find something fun to do: Take a stroll down Bloomington's downtown streets this weekend and participate in Friday's Gallery Walk, head to the Monroe County Airport for a three-day celebration or check out some of the city's parks for special events.

Spend Friday night at Gallery Walk

From 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, is this month's Gallery Walk in Bloomington, with about a dozen galleries and exhibit spaces open for viewing.

One of those is Pictura Gallery, at 202 S. Rogers St., with a new exhibit by Lorenzo Poli, "The Geoglyphs of Our Times," illuminating the issue of resource mining in South Africa. Pictura Gallery's reception will include beer, wine and food from Maiz Columbiana for sale.
