The New York Yankees lost a crucial game to the Houston Astros, but the team may feel like it was stripped of an opportunity to win.

In a tie game going into the bottom of the eighth inning, Devin Williams came on to pitch. Williams has struggled this year, but had a 1.08 ERA over his last nine games going into that inning.

Williams gave up a double and walked three batters. He walked in the go-ahead run and was pulled from the game. On his way off the field, he was ejected after letting home plate umpire Brian Walsh know he missed some calls.

Williams had a case to be made. It appeared as if Walsh missed multiple strike calls for Williams. Manager Aaron Boone seemed to agree as he was also tossed after bringing Camilo Doval into the game.
