Damien Simon, Adam Sanchez and Andy Zapata each scored in South Plainfield’s 3-1 win over Metuchen, in Metuchen.
Metuchen scored the opening goal in the 24th minute, but the Tigers (1-1) outscored tied the game with a goal from Simon in the 30th minute before adding on two more goals in the second half.
Iker Cunalata made eight saves for South Plainfield.
Reid Kirin scored for the Bulldogs (0-1) while Patrick Turc recorded seven saves.
