KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Children's Theatre announced that, due to heavy traffic, it will no longer have performances on days when the University of Tennessee is playing at home. Instead, it plans to sell parking to game attendees.

"While this change results in lost box office revenue, the theatre is turning the situation into a creative opportunity by offering game day parking for donations," a spokesperson explained.

KCT is offering season-long parking passes in exchange for donations of $400 per space and non-reserved, first-come-first-served spots for individual games for $40 each.

The parking lot is just 1.4 miles from Neyland Stadium. To purchase a season-long parking pass, email info@knoxvillechildrenstheatre.com.
