MARION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTAJ)--Residents of Marion Township voiced their concerns at a public hearing over the potential rezoning of 200 acres of farmland for commercial use.

The hearing, held Wednesday night, saw a large turnout of community members worried about the implications of converting farmland into commercial zones. The rezoning decision, which ultimately lies with township officials, has sparked debate among residents who fear the loss of agricultural land and the impact on their community.

"I understand that we need progress. I understand that we need commercial zoning. What I'm asking is that we take time and stop and think about this, and we say what fits our community," said Andrea Royer, a concerned resident.
