In this week's Swampcast, the Sun's Kevin Brockway and Noah Ram discuss Florida football's season-opening win over Long Island and preview UF's upcoming matchup with USF.

Brockway came away encouraged that the big play ability of the Florida Gators defense carried over from the end of the season. UF forced two turnovers in its 55-0 shutout of Long Island, including a fumble recovery that safety Bryce Thornton returned 37 yards for a TD.

"The defense was dominant," Brockway said. "The defense to me played as well as you could play. Everyone says, well, it's just Long Island, but you wanted to see the defense dominate and they did that, held them to under 100 yards, shut them out, only six missed tackles."
