(KRON) -- Spirit Airlines has announced it will be pulling out of two Bay Area airports. On Thursday, the budget airline told KRON4's sister station KOIN that it would be adjusting its network to "focus on our strongest performing markets."
As a result, Spirit said it had made the "difficult decision to discontinue service" to Oakland (OAK) and San Jose (SJC).
In addition to dropping service at two of the Bay Area's three major airports, Spirit will also discontinue service at the following airports around the country: • Albuquerque (ABQ) • Birmingham (BHM) • Boise (BOI) • Chattanooga (CHA) • Columbia (CAE) • Portland (PDX) • Sacramento (SMF) • Salt Lake City (SLC) • San Diego (SAN)
