EXCLUSIVE: Netflix has secured rights to true-crime doc series Mafia: Most Wanted .

The streamer has taken rights to the three-parter in the U.S. and Italy, while Hearst Networks EMEA has bought it in the UK and Benelux region, for Sky History and The History Channel, respectively.

The series is billed as a “gripping” exposé of feared Italian crime syndicate the ‘Ndrangheta, which controls 70% of global cocaine trade, and how it has a hidden but astonishing stronghold in Toronto.

Mafia: Most Wanted launched on Canadian streamer Crave in March, having been produced by Screen Siren Pictures in association with Last Word Entertainment and in association with Bell Media’s service.
