MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It will take nearly 200 volunteers to bring the food and entertainment of Italy to the Italian Community Center this Sunday-- from servers to chefs.
"These are recipes that have been handed down from generations and it is, it’s good homemade food," said Marie Andaloro-Lieber, president of the Italian Community Center. " We have 24 different entrees between Festa Hall and the Grand Ballroom. We have the pasta, stuffed shells, we have calamari. In Festa Hall is where all of the desserts are-- cannoli, eclairs, the gelato, the pizzellas. There’s something for everyone."
They've been cooking and baking for over a week to prepare. Andaloro-Lieber says they have almost 1,000 meatballs and 1,500 stuffed shells.
Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased at the event
