Ruth Carlton Hooper (Vincent Funeral Home)

Ruth Carlton Hooper, 87, of West Point, VA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, August 25, 2025.

She dedicated her life to caring for family and creating a loving home. She was a talented seamstress with a style and flair all her own.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William “Tommy” Hooper; a sister, Elizabeth Panak; and her brother, William Roger Carlton.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Minor and her husband, Bill, and Becky Seckora and her husband, Damian; three grandchildren, Katherine (Anthony), Michael and Joseph; and three great-grandchildren, Colin, Carson and Cayleigh; three sisters-in-law, Pat Carlton, Jeanette Hogge and her husband, Larry, as well as Shirley Perrin; and a brother-i
