MONTPELIER, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Vermont has officially received $15.8 million in released funds for projects aiming to implement electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the state.

This announcement comes following the initial Federal freeze in January that halted millions in funding beneath the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program.

The funding announcement was made by the Agency of Transportation alongside Governor Phil Scott, who says that this "will bring more EV charging infrastructure to Vermont, which we desperately need.

“Finding ways to work with our federal partners on issues like this one is important and will pay off for Vermonters.”
