Oscar Martinez was thought to be the only returning character from The Office to appear in Peacock's spinoff, The Paper , but that's not entirely the case. Aside from Oscar Nunez, The Paper 's main cast portrays a new set of characters that work for the Toledo Truth-Teller , a small newspaper in Ohio, led by Domhnall Gleeson's new editor-in-chief, Ned Sampson.

Like The Office , the Peacock spinoff utilizes the mockumentary format, which has become a smart move based on The Paper 's impressive Rotten Tomatoes score . This time, the documentary crew is following the newspaper employees at their Toledo office, and it's the same documentary team used for the Dunder Mifflin project. Even after 20 years, The Office franchise is still full of surprises.
