NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - The public can now visit a large python captured in Newberry County that captured national attention.
The Edisto Island Serpentarium said Thursday that the snake, affectionately named “Nanners,” is now on display at its facility.

Nanners arrived at the serpentarium on Aug. 21 and was being treated and monitored for any health complications before being introduced to the public.
Nanners was initially captured by Warren Gallman and others near the Mid-Carolina school campuses on Aug. 18, but it’s unclear if the snake belonged to anyone and how it ended up in the area.
