Marco Scandella retired from the NHL on Thursday.

The 35-year-old defenseman played 14 seasons for the Minnesota Wild, Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens and St. Louis Blues. He last played in 2023-24, when he had eight points (two goals, six assists) in 65 games for St. Louis.

A second-round pick (No. 55) by the Wild at the 2008 NHL Draft, Scandella had 170 points (51 goals, 119 assists) in 784 regular-season games, and nine points (six goals, three assists) in 56 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
