LEITCHFIELD, Ky. – A Leitchfield man is facing charges after allegedly threatening his former employer and illegally accessing a company’s computer system to create a fake freight shipment.

According to WNKY News 40 media partner K105, the Leitchfield Police Department arrested 45-year-old Adam Schmidt on Tuesday, charging him with second-degree terroristic threatening, fourth-degree unlawful access to a computer, harassing communications and driving on suspended/revoked operator’s license.

According to an arrest citation, Schmidt was fired from Wessol LLC in July last year. Authorities say he has since scheduled fake freight shipments using the company’s internal computer system.
