TriMet MAX riders to and from the west side will be using shuttle buses to get around the Robertson Tunnel closure beginning Sunday, Sept. 7 and lasting through Saturday, Sept. 13
A series of MAX improvements will require a seven-day disruption between Southwest Portland and Beaverton, including through the three-mile-long tunnel.
Riders will board shuttle buses at the Sunset Transit Center and Providence Park MAX Station during the closure. Buses are expected to run every five minutes on weekdays and every seven minutes on the weekend.
TriMet warns riders that some trips may take up to 45 minutes longer than usual. The agency also pointed out that bus lines 20-Burnside/Stark and 58-Canyon Road may experience higher ridership as they are often used as an alternative to MAX service from
