With just 22 games remaining and with a record of 81-59, the Jays still control their path to both winning the American League East and to locking up one of the critical top two seeds in the league.

Even with the dramatics in Cincinnati earlier in the week and without the hyperbole, the serious stretch drive begins with the three-game set that begins in the Bronx on Friday night.

And, no, we’re not expecting things to cool down after the wackiness just completed in Southern Ohio.
