The number of paramedics in the Scottish Ambulance Service has increased by a staggering 62 per cent in the last decade. ‌

Overall paramedic workforce levels are now at a record high with the number of newly qualified medics rising from 1,331 on March 31, 2015 to 2,156, exactly a decade later. ‌

And more than 450 have joined since 2020. ‌
