A woman was shot and killed by her husband at their Shelby home Sept. 1, and her husband is now in custody and charged with murder, according to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to Sandy Point Drive off of Cherryville Road to investigate a death, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Deputies discovered the homeowner, Letonya Gidney Bradshaw, 49, dead in the home from multiple gunshots, the release said.

The investigation into Bradshaw’s death led to arrest warrants being issued for Micheal Keith Bradshaw, 36, of the same address.

According to the release, Bradshaw has been located and charged with first degree murder. He is being held in the Cleveland County Detention Center with no bond.
