A pair of large mountain lions have been making themselves comfortable at an Ojai home.

Therese Cornelius told KTLA that cougars are no strangers to the area.

"Been living here 7 years and seen many on trail cam, and I’ve come face to face with one at 4 a.m. before that left me shaking for 24 hours," she said.

That said, these pumas, a male and a female, truly made themselves at home on Thursday morning, when Cornelius and her husband spotted them at about 5:20 a.m.

"The male was attacking a raccoon at our fountain. The female a few feet away from him. ... Now we know why our fountain water is disappearing so quickly," she said.
