Hancock men tie, women lose

The Pasadena College men's soccer team's 2025 record is no longer unblemished - though the Lancers still haven't lost.

The Hancock College side (1-1-2) played Pasadena (3-0-1) to a 1-1 draw in a non-conference game at Pasadena. Edgar Chavez gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal off a rebound, with an assist from Juan Zarate.

Sebastian Jimenez tied the game later in the half on a goal from 15 yards out with a Junior Martinez Cortez assist.

That was it for the scoring. Hancock goalkeeper Max Brewster bailed out the Bulldogs by making 10 saves on the day. Pasadena goalkeeper Matthew Gilmore only had to make one. The Lancers out-shot the Bulldogs 21-6, including 14-0 in the second half.

Hancock will play a non-league game at Monterey Peninsul
