SUTHERLIN, Ore. - A staff member at Sutherlin Middle School faces serious charges involving the sexual abuse of two teenage boys, according to documents filed in Douglas County Circuit Court.

Court records show that Cienna Counts, 23, was charged Wednesday with six crimes related to the alleged abuse of a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old boy at the school. Counts was arrested Tuesday but received a conditional release until her arraignment on Friday.

The investigation began in May of last year after rumors surfaced about Counts' involvement with the two boys, according to a probable cause affidavit.
