(CNN) - It is about to get more expensive for Americans to get health insurance through their jobs.
Employer benefits consulting firm Mercer collected the numbers in a survey.
It found workers can expect to pay, on average, an additional 6-7% in premiums next year.
Some employers say they’ll try to limit those increases, but that typically means higher deductibles and out-of-pocket costs for employees instead.
Many companies are also offering workers more plan options, some of which have lower copays depending on the practitioner.
The projected increase is the steepest cost hike in 15 years.
