Carnival Cruise Line continues to evolve, with bold changes to its itinerary. Among its recent moves is the revival of a previously risky location 15 years later . Carnival announced a special visit to Acapulco, Mexico, more than a decade after its previous sail.

The cruise line has remained busy with other adjustments. Carnival said goodbye to a coveted U.S. location , opting to leave Los Angeles and the West Coast behind and instead focus on the East Coast and New York in the future. The cruise line also pulled the plug on a coveted Royal Caribbean destination , axing Costa Maya in 2027.
