A 13-year-old Idaho rodeo queen died in a plane crash Monday that also left her parents in critical condition.
Amelia Palmer was found dead at the scene of the crash, in the area of Big Mountain within Wyoming’s Bighorn National Forest, the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office said .
Her parents, Earl Palmer, 54, and Cindy Palmer, 53, were airlifted to a trauma centre in Billings, reports the Idaho Statesman . Their 11-year-old son Aeron was also transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The family was flying home from Wyoming when their plane went down.
Amelia was the 2024/2025 Treasure Valley Rodeo Mini Queen and second runner-up to 2026 Miss Junior Rodeo Idaho.
Miss Rodeo Idaho shared the news of her passing Tuesday on social media.
“Amelia, you were pure sunshine and brought
